KREIDEZEIT has been manufacturing natural paint products for over 20 years and is renowned in the industry as one of the most ethical and reliable suppliers of natural products to home owners, builders, governments, painters and others.

KREIDEZEIT exports its products to Estonia, Romania, Russia, France, Japan, Canada and Australia. They have 170 independent retailers in Germany alone - and do not supply hardware chains.

Our small but efficient team here at NATURAL PAINT is following the success story of our partner by being ethical, honest and delivering a true product to people who choose to be environmentally aware and a little experimental.

Product Information Sheets, which accompany all products we ship, are so comprehensive that they have been downloaded by competitors and handed out with competitors' products. We do not mind this, as we believe that investment in any natural product is worthwhile and responsible.

NATURAL PAINT's product range provides many benefits, most importantly - all products have the property of diffusion - the ability to let the exchange of air and humidity occur. This is vital when you consider that many of Europe's wooden window frames were destroyed a few years after installation by using high gloss (low porous) enamel paints to paint them. The moisture being trapped by the paint has had a rotting effect on the timber.

The natural paint industry has seen many changes and improvements over the years and the Oil Paints available in today's market are far superior to those of the past. These oil paints are never Full Gloss, as this would mean a sealing of the surface - thus blocking the desired ability to diffuse.

Another of our unique products is the Anti Rust Paint. This product evolved when it was discovered that chemically produced German Anti Rust paint did not measure up to the quality and effectiveness of the KREIDEZEIT product. In fact, all eco paints tested were placed in the top 30%, ahead of their chemical counterparts - the outright winner was our KREIDEZEIT Anti Rust Paint. The so called 'Rust Converters' are now trailing the field. The mastermind behind this product - Gerd Ziesemann, proprietor of KREIDEZEIT, developed this product only months before the test by investigating what the Eiffel Tower in Paris had been painted with (finely ground iron ore suspended in natural oils).

The latest 'hat trick' - A WORLD FIRST for the natural paint industry is GEKKKO SOL - a substrate paint that adheres to ANY surface (except grease, oil and other fats). This means that you can apply GEKKKO SOL and overpaint with any of our wall paints or finishes, eg. Casein Marble Paint, Stuccolustro, Tadelakt or Calcimine Paint (specific paint for allergic people)- especially useful should you ever get tired of a tiled or glass surface.

The choice always remains with our customer. We will gladly offer advice on the suitability of your chosen product, but never based on what we wish to promote.

With the exception of oils and oil paints, all of our paint range is delivered in powder form which is then mixed with water on site. As the powders contain no preservatives, the mixed solution will need to be used within 2 days in order to avoid fermentation. The message here is: mix what is needed in a day! Any left-overs can be safely deposited on the compost heap.

Our range of Pigments is also offered in powder form, allowing them to be mixed with any chosen suspension agent such as water, oil or even face cream. Imagine the endless hours of fun when used for face painting or as food and bath water colouring!
