It is a fact that management systems save money. Environmental management systems help both the environment and the bottom line.
We all know we can no longer ignore environmental changes caused by our actions. Industry is no different; there is increasing legal pressure, confusion about what is needed and anxiety about the potential cost. The environment is just one of several competing requirements that need to be integrated into an effective system to improve environmental performance and comply with legal regulations, comply with occupational health and safety, codes of practice as well as an increasing amount of reporting to government agencies.
Enviro Action works both with groups and individuals. You work at your pace and there are no high-end ongoing consultancy fees, no 'one size fits all' solutions. We minimise paperwork. Our philosophy is 'if you don't need a piece of paper, why have it'.
Building a management system is really easy! Yes, let's admit that up front it does take some time but we keep it simple and use tools to minimise this and, once in place, you soon find the system SAVES time and money!
For the past 20 years, Jean Cannon has been involved in small businesses, starting with a family owned computer assembly and retail outlet where she learned all about the pressures and the low margins of that sector. Concurrently with this, she worked as a sole trading environmental consultant. It was at this stage that she discovered the amazing help and protection that management systems can bring.
Most importantly, Jean understands the time pressures business people and managers are under. To get the true benefits of management systems it must be kept simple. Her passion is helping small and medium businesses to fully realise the amazing help and protection a management system can bring their business and she is especially excited about the win-win of environmental management systems, when clients truly understand that, by reducing their environmental impacts, they are also saving themselves time and money. It is truly exciting to see people's eyes, voices and emails when they 'get it' and realise that they have found this win-win.
Jean is also an extremely pragmatic business person who recognises that small business, in particular, is under a range of enormous pressures. Her unusually wide background as a business person, consultant, a trainer, marine biologist, teacher, speaker, auditor and author provide a wide knowledge base to give you better service.
A group training approach encourages more interaction, idea exchange and deeper understanding. FarmBis subsidises primary producers and on-line learning is now available. Enviro Action's wide range of clients includes aquaculture, agriculture, fishing, marinas, slipways, pest control, farming and grazing, stock-feed manufacture, building and construction, wind farms and manufacturing including the car component industry.
