Puzzles with a Difference is a strong family business run by Peter and Leanne Taylor of Bendigo in Victoria. The family-run business has been producing an extensive range of high quality puzzles for over 14 years.
There are 130 different freestanding puzzles to challenge the mind of the young and the young at heart, ranging from cute animal puzzles to the more intricate designs for the avid collector. Also included within the range is a large variety of Australian designs, which make great gifts for people overseas.
We manufacture in puzzle form using children's names, in a peg board design (where the letters lift out) as well as interlocking letters. There are also name plaques that can be made up for your child's doors. These can all be made to order no matter how your child's name is spelt.
We use all Australian products and our puzzles are environmentally friendly using wood from plantation timber. We use bright non-toxic paint in whatever colour you wish to have. Each puzzle is a toy as well as a puzzle and then becomes an ornament.
The puzzles are designed to assist the development of children's hand-to-eye co-ordination and to improve their motor skills. The freestanding ones train their memory as they try to recreate the puzzle. One of the activities, which involves creating an image of parents and children together, reinforces the bonds within the family unit but most of all provides fun for young and old.
The puzzles are also used to help Dementia, Alzheimer's and visually-impaired patients.
Our puzzles are available at markets, special events, direct to the customer and through retail outlets. We put on displays as fundraisers for organisations like schools, kindergartens and playgroups where the organisers receive a percentage of the sales in either money or stock.
