Apricus Solar Collectors

The Apricus AP solar collector is a high efficiency thermal solar panel, suitable for both domestic and commercial heating. Taking advantage of the efficiency benefits provided by evacuated tubes, combined with heat pipes and glass wool insulation, the AP solar collector represents the latest in thermal solar technology.

The two biggest advantages of the evacuated tube system result in up to 40% increased heat output!

Firstly, as the tubes are round, this allows the collector to passively track the sun from morning through to the afternoon - not just at midday when the sun is at its highest point.

Secondly, the evacuated tubes have a vacuum space which insulates against heat loss, thus saving energy and protecting the collectors against frost in cold conditions.

Everlast Storage Tanks

Apricus utilize Australian made, Marine-grade 316 stainless steel tanks designed for Solar hot water storage.

Fully encapsulated in 50mm thick polyurethane insulation and polymer coated, these rust and damage resistant tanks are much lighter than conventional glass lined tanks, and come with a full 10 year long life warranty.

Complete Systems & Retrofits

Apricus solar water heating systems are available with either electric or gas boosting to ensure hot water in all seasons and weather conditions.

The most efficiently sized system to meet individual property needs will be installed to maximise the use of solar energy and prevent wasted heat and water in the summer. The gas boosted systems are backed by the reliability of a Bosch Highflow gas booster, saving money through reduced gas consumption.

Retrofit systems are also available, where an existing electric boosted tank can be connected via a special solar conversion valve to the Apricus collector. When the tank needs replacing, a quality Everlast stainless steel tank is the ideal choice to compliment the solar hot water system.
