Carbon Offsets and Trading

Carbon trading bring buyers and sellers of carbon credits together with standardised rules of trade. Carbon offsetting involves the use of financial instruments (carbon credits) to represent a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. One carbon credit represents the reduction of one metric ton of carbon dioxide or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases. – Carbon Planet
