Cityfood Growers aims to foster a grass roots movement in food production. It uses the web as a primary vehicle to connect a physical community of people living in and around cities who value locally grown food and have a passion for food gardening. The venture is designed to be both local and global and provides online tools for gardener/consumer interaction and food garden management. Interaction is the key to any healthy community, as such, the bulk of the web site content is expected to ultimately created by site users, be they new or experienced gardeners, consumers, organizations, researchers or anyone interested in the urban agriculture conversation.
