Composting Units
Kitchen Scrap Composter:
By using the innovative kitchen composter, users can simply and without odour convert all of their food scraps into a nutrient rich soil conditioner. This unique composting system uses the revolutionary Bokashi (natural odour eater) to create the ideal conditions for anaerobic composting. To use the Kitchen Composter, simply place all left over food scraps, (yes, even meat, chicken and prawn shells) in the bucket and sprinkle a handful of Bokashi every time you do so. Every few days, drain the compost tea from the bottom of your bucket. It makes a great natural fertilizer; simply dilute it with water and feed to your plants. By using Bokashi, you will ensure good bacteria proliferate and hence eliminate odours. Bokashi achieves this by promoting fermentation of the food scraps rather than putrefaction.
