SAFF / AF fuels principal business is the distribution and sale of petroleum and Bio-Fuel
products throughout South Australia and adjoining states and territories.
The business was launched in late 1998 with the primary goal of providing regional Australia
and primary producers with comparable fuel prices to metropolitan centres. SAFF / AF fuels
developed a business model that improves the logistics efficiency of fuel delivery. Bulk fuel is
shipped to primary producers, government and corporate customers direct from the refinery
or terminal facility.
Traditionally, fuel was delivered to an inland storage terminal and then loaded in to a smaller
truck, to deliver to the farmers or commercial client.
SAFF /AF Fuels has revolutionised the handling and distribution of fuel, resulting in cheaper
fuel for regional and rural Australia. SAFF currently supplies fuel and lubricants to their
extensive SAFF branded service stations in regional and rural Australia.
SAFF’s innovative customer distribution model takes a number of links out of the delivery
chain and passes the savings on to SAFF’s branded service stations, which span South
Australia, Western Australia, western New South Wales and the Northern Territory. This
enables deliveries of bulk fuel direct to the farm gate or business from fuel terminals and
refineries.

companies in the bulk delivery market by removing the need for customers to purchase fuel
through the wholesale network, effectively providing a direct delivery from the fuel terminal /
refinery to the end user.
