City of Sydney Cycling Ambassadors Ian Roberts and Nell Schofield will share their passion for bike riding at Primo Italiano this Sunday 23 May.
They will give free talks on the benefits of “the two wheel lifestyle.”
The 15 minute discussions will run every half hour, starting at 11.45am until 3.30pm covering topics such as: picking the right bike, rules of the road, choosing the best route, bike buses, tips for riding with kids, and riding to work.
“Primo Italiano will not just celebrate all things Italian but spread the word on the health and environmental benefits that cycling provides to local communities,” said Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP.
Primo Italiano celebrates Italian culture, from the cliché to the contemporary, and transforms Stanley Street into a piazza complete with a fountain, al fresco dining, providore market stalls and entertainment.
The Primo Cycle Centre in the MTV Gallery Space will feature beautiful retro style Italian Abici and cutting-edge Pinarello road bikes.
There will also be free giveaways such as cycling maps and bike repair kits from the City of Sydney cycling Stall in Stanley Street. One lucky visitor will win a new bike.
The Primo Cycle Centre will be in the MTV Gallery Space on Yurong Street (located on the eastern side of Yurong near the corner of Stanley Street). No bookings necessary.
