First Victorian FSC certified window manufacturer

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organisation that brings people together to find solutions, which promote responsible stewardship of the world’s forests.

Paarhammer has been using FSC certified timbers – namely Malas from Papua New Guinea - as a timber option for environmentally aware customers for some time. Now Paarhammer itself has been certified for Chain of Custody as the first window manufacturer in Victoria.

FSC Chain of Custody Certification provides a guarantee about the production of FSC-certified products and tracks the FSC certified material from the forest right through the production process all the way to the end consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution.

From a customer perspective, the FSC label represents a promise that is being made to them. Chain of custody standards are the mechanism FSC has to ensure that 'promise' is delivered.

Independently certified procedures and training of staff are necessary to ensure compliance, give peace-of-mind to the consumer and allow a certified business to label their FSC products with the FSC logo and certification number. Paarhammer’s is SCS-COC-001887.

Being certified shows that Paarhammer’s FSC products comply with the highest social and environmental standards on the market. And environmental and sustainability conscious consumers can now have their new windows and doors specified to be FSC certified.

Paarhammer products are up to 7 star WERS rated with energy savings of 61%-78% and have the lowest U-value of any windows and doors in Australia through employing the latest energy saving technologies. A sound protection of up to 45dB can be delivered and a patented multi-point locking system provides extra security.

Sliding doors, oversized sliding door ‘Giants’, bi-fold doors, European style tilt & turn windows, French doors and entrance combinations with double or triple glazing are custom made in different timbers, including one that satisfies the Australian Bush-fire Standard.
